Neustadt an der Aisch, Germany – With total investments in the amount of EUR 2 million, Onlineprinters GmbH has significantly expanded its production facilities in the specialty area of large format printing advertisement systems in the current business year. 2,500 square metres of production area have been provided for this. New digital printing machines for banners, plots, tarpaulins, advertising signs and city light posters, as well as fabric printing machines for flags and textile folding fabric displays and counters provide production capacities for the expanded range of advertisement systems in XXL format.

"In 2011, we have invested a lot of money and know how in the product development of large format printing products and the generous expansion of the 'Large Format Printing' (LFP) department," explains Walter Meyer, CEO of Onlineprinters GmbH. An essential part of the e-commerce company's business policy is to produce its rage of printed products in-house. The PSO-certified production department and the distribution department at the company headquarters in Neustadt an der Aisch in southern Germany employ more than 300 people. Since its foundation in 2008, Onlineprinters GmbH has been on course for growth and has become one of the largest online print shops in Europe within only a few years. The range of classical offset printed materials such as flyers, calendars or brochures has been expanded significantly this year by the production of manifold large format digital printed products.
Large-print advertisement systems for all lines of business
The "Large Format Printing" department produces advertisement systems such as rollups, X-/L-banners, PVC tarpaulins, plots, large-sized adhesive films, fabric posters, flags, folding fabric displays, folding textile counters, advertising signs, sidewalk signs, stretcher frames, and large-format displays for indoor and outdoor use. The basis for the weatherproof and robust digital prints are plastic films, PVC materials, mesh fabric, corrugated plastic boards, Plexiglas and aluminium composite boards. "With our automatic cutter machine, we can precisely cut the printed materials for outdoor signs in formats of up to 3 by 4 meters," says Mathias Weies, head of the LFP department of Onlineprinters GmbH. With the purchase of a new fabric printing machine, the establishment of the LFP department has been completed for now. Folding fabric systems made of polyester fabric as well as flags expand the range of printable textiles (certified according to fire protection class 1) for flexible outdoor and indoor advertising. Premium processing and manual assembly
Each product in the LFP department is unique and individually processed and assembled by hand with a lot of effort according to the customer's wishes. Tarpaulins, for example, offer the option of a hem or eyelets all around the tarpaulin and expander hooks or loops to be ordered optionally. The printed product can thus be sent readily assembled and can be put to use at the point of sale right after receipt. Only certified and odourless latex paints are used for printing PVC tarpaulins and mesh fabrics. These water-based inks are exceptionally eco-friendly and have been awarded the Greenguard Certification.
