President addresses delegates ahead of OKI showcasing new digital LED 5-colour printer at VISCOM Düsseldorf
Egham, 6th November 2013 – OKI Europe will continue its commitment to innovation as a key element of its diversification strategy which has already contributed to the company’s recent growth.
Speaking today at a conference in Düsseldorf, Takao Hiramoto, President of OKI Data Corporation, confirmed that just a year into their major transformation programme – first announced at the company’s SMART Business Conference last year in Barcelona – OKI Europe has increased its annual sales by 27 per cent.
Hiramoto also highlighted how, as well as consolidating its existing customer base, much of OKI’s success is as a result of the company’s diversification into offering office print solutions and specialised print devices for professional and vertical markets. “We have also undertaken a fundamental review of all aspects of manufacturing, distribution and marketing, creating a more integrated approach to ensure we meet the increasing demands of existing and new channel partners and end-customers,” he said.
The conference was held in advance of the VISCOM 2013 exhibition where OKI is showcasing the new ES9541, the revolutionary digital LED 5-colour A3 printer designed for the Graphic Arts market and creative businesses offering print output in CMYK plus white or clear gloss.
Hiramoto continued, “We have reinforced our focus on innovation which is fundamental to extending our offering into new markets. Showcasing our groundbreaking new 5-colour technology at VISCOM is a great example of how we are re-writing the rule book in developing products which provide graphic arts and creative businesses with the opportunity to secure lucrative new revenue streams.”
OKI Europe managing director Terry Kawashima addressed conference attendees on how OKI was responding to broader changes in working practices with products that support mobility, allowing users to ‘print anything, anywhere’ and solutions which ensure such print practices are taking place efficiently and cost-effectively, in a fully secure print environment.
“Key to sustaining OKI Europe’s success in line with our aggressive goals will be our continued offering of an entire range of products for SMBs and workgroups at every stage of their development, as well as innovative, reliable and robust products for the office solutions and professional market,” said Kawashima.
“The products we’re showing here at VISCOM are examples of our continuing brilliance in producing innovative solutions that allow customers to achieve a real competitive advantage and giving them access to new revenue streams which were previously out of reach, due to the cost of high-end specialist print equipment.”
