Employees vote NextiraOne country’s highest-ranking IT employer
Kloten, 27 September, 2010 - NextiraOne, Europe’s leading expert in communications services, has achieved 19th place in the cash Best Employers awards in Switzerland – the highest ranking of any ICT company in the country. The largest survey of its kind in Switzerland, this is the tenth annual event in which cash and the GfK Trustmark AG have awarded the 25 best companies.
The cash Employers award is aimed at companies with over 100 employees and gives them the opportunity to survey their staff across a wide range of work-related topics, including their general attitude to their employer. Participating companies receive a report and analysis of their own results and a comparison with other participating companies and with their own industry sector.
The best judges of any employer are its own people and they have given their verdict. In all, 89 companies from a diverse range of industries took part in this year’s cash Employers Awards. The average level of employee participation in the survey was around 66%, guaranteeing accurate results.
The detailed analysis of the study revealed that NextiraOne employees valued particularly highly the modern and progressive system of personal goal-setting, the strong team spirit, minimal hierarchies, direct access to management and also an up-to-date, performance-related remuneration scheme.
Patricia Hürsch, Head of Personnel at NextiraOne Switzerland, explained: “At NextiraOne we know that our people are our greatest assets and we therefore do our best to make them feel valued. The ongoing development of our skills base is important to the company and this strategic positioning allows us to develop an individual training path for each employee as part of their career development. These all contribute to the close and positive working relationships within our company and the team spirit that pervades.”
The announcement in Switzerland follows another accolade for NextiraOne, gained earlier in 2010. In February, NextiraOne in the UK was recognised as being among the country’s best employers in the UK 2010 Best Companies Accreditation. The company achieved “One to Watch” status in the accreditation system which aims to identify the best companies to work for in terms of employee engagement and best management practice.
