NextiraOne is a Rising Star
« Posted: February 09, 2011, 11:01:41 PM »

NextiraOne, Europe’s leading expert in communications services, has been awarded One Star status in this year’s 2011 Best Companies Accreditation, improving its rating as one of the UK’s best companies to work for. This achievement tops NextiraOne’s previous success as a “One to Watch” company in last year’s accreditations which aim to identify the best companies in the UK to work for in terms of employee engagement and best practice.

Commenting on the achievement of One Star status, Ray McGrath, NextiraOne’s Customer Services and Employee Engagement Director, said: “This is a fantastic result for NextiraOne. This award is very special to us, as we know that this is an extremely tough process to go through and only the very best businesses achieve accreditation. We will continue to drive towards even greater success – and achieving a coveted place on the Sunday Times List of best companies to work for.”

The Best Companies organisation began more than 10 years ago and seeks to recognise excellence in the workplace. Based on staff feedback, it looks at employee engagement as an integral part of a company’s success and growth, and sets a benchmark for all employers. The Best Companies Index is designed to measure workforce engagement by analysing employee’s responses to 70 questions in eight key areas. NextiraOne employees were asked to score their company on factors including Leadership, Well Being, My Manager, My Team and My Company, as well as areas such as Personal Growth, Giving Something Back and Fair Deal. NextiraOne scored highest in the My Company section, followed by Leadership and My Manager.

Steven Skakel, Managing Director UK & Ireland at NextiraOne, said: “We have been recognised as being one of the best companies to work for in the UK. Our people are our greatest strength in delivering truly excellent services to our customers and this award is a great testament to our continuing efforts to make this combination of employee engagement and customer service excellence work for everyone’s benefit.”

Jonathan Austin – Founder and CEO of Best Companies - said: “Being a best company goes beyond the bottom line. It's about excelling in every area throughout the workplace and an organisation's commitment to its most important assets - its workforce. Focusing on employees brings real benefits, including improved workplace engagement, better staff retention, reduced recruitment costs and greater financial performance.

“We would like to congratulate NextiraOne on their outstanding achievement and especially in improving their ranking over last year. Companies like NextiraOne that have achieved accreditation are among the best employers in the country and we should all applaud their efforts.”

NextiraOne designs, installs, maintains and supports sustainable solutions to meet its customers’ communications needs - from voice, data and video, to mobility, security and applications. Working with the world’s leading technology companies, NextiraOne provides end-to-end sustainable communications solutions to deliver measurable business benefits to its customers. The company’s strengths lie in its unequalled technology experience, the expertise of its people and its broad European reach. NextiraOne employs over 4,500 people, 220 in the UK.
