Cloud contact centre solutions provider adds another layer of trust to its services
21 February 2012: NewVoiceMedia has today announced it is the first cloud based contact centre provider to be awarded the ISO27001 certification for information security across its entire portfolio of services as well as the company’s internal processes.
The certification is another milestone for NewVoiceMedia as the company continues to pioneer trust in the cloud and give its customers assurance around areas such as availability, security and performance. ISO27001 certification guarantees that a company complies with a set of international security standards focused on the proactive management of information security and has assessed and addressed any risks to information security.
NewVoiceMedia CEO, Jonathan Gale, commented: “Our commitment to security and protecting our customers data is unparalleled in the Cloud and hosted contact centre market demonstrated by PCI DSS Level 1 and ISO27001 certification. We intend to keep driving the market to higher levels of data assurance to allow faster and broader adoption of cloud services”.
In order to help reduce buyer concerns around information security in the cloud, NewVoiceMedia has included all business functions and processes used to develop, deliver and support its cloud contact centre service within the scope of the assessment. The certification follows the recent launch of NewVoiceMedia’s publicly available Trust Site which publishes the performance and availability of the company’s services, in real time.
Ashley Unitt, NewVoiceMedia’s Chief Technology and Security Officer, said: “The fact that we’re the first organisation in our market to achieve ISO27001 is a clear sign that as a company we’re prepared to go further to give the assurance customers crave from cloud based services.
We’ve already been transparent in the way we showcase our performance and availability by making this data accessible to anyone through our Trust Site. With ISO27001 certification we’re now able to offer businesses a guarantee that we proactively manage the security of their information, regardless of whether that’s through our products or our back office functions.
Information security breaches can have a significant impact on any organisation, whether that is a loss in revenue or a loss of trust amongst customers. By putting our services, procedures and people through this rigorous certification process, we’re reducing the information security risks our customers face and giving them a safer and more trustworthy experience with our services.”
NewVoiceMedia is committed to driving transparency in the cloud computing market. This latest security certification follows the company’s recent PCI DSS Level 1 compliance re-certification and is in direct response to an increased demand for clarity and service standards from customers. This is also a critical step towards ensuring that NewVoiceMedia and its customers are able to meet information security requirements from both UK and EU legislation.
