London, United Kingdom, 3 April, 2013 - BPL broadcast, the publisher for IBE (International Broadcast Engineer) brand has launched a new look print magazine and IBEConnects.com news portal as part of commitment to grow and evolve the publication which is 50 year’s old next year.  The new website, IBEConnects.com includes industry and product news, features and content which also support regular e-casts to 120,000 global subscribers.

IBE has also undergone several staffing changes over the last few months. Saleha Williams, Vice President of BPL Broadcast takes over as the new IBE Publisher. Williams has more than two decades of global business and strategic marketing experiences, including senior roles at BSKYB, BT, IBM and BBC Technology / Siemens, where she was responsible for setting up and driving the Siemens media and telco business in Asia.

Will Garside, a technology journalist and published author with over 17 years’ experience across print, web and broadcast joins as editor. Monica Heck has been appointed as the new IBE Deputy Editor. Heck has a BA in Media and Marketing and an MA in Journalism as well as extensive experience “in the trenches”, having worked for over a decade for companies including Harris Corporation and IBM. Lynn Neil takes over as new IBE Advertising Director. Neil is well known in the industry and brings over two decades of experience in sponsorship, advertising sales and co-marketing.

The new look IBE publications will launch in concert with the Connected Media World at NAB Show, a brand new signature destination event which focuses on the connected consumer experience. The Connected Media World is for the broadcasters, tech teams, app developers and content companies, providing a dedicated exhibition showcase, speaker theatre and network lounge to highlight the technologies and devices which are responding to the massive power shift driven by the consumer. For NAB Show visitors, Connected Media World provides the opportunity to meet, listen and interact with the companies driving the consumer content revolution.

“2013 is a year of investment for BPL in the IBE brand,” explains Williams, “Our joint venture with NAB is part of an on-going process to expand our events portfolio and provide a truly joined up experience for our readership and commercial sponsors.”

Williams will be joined by Chris Brown EVP for NAB Show for a candid Q&A session on Monday 8th of April at 4:30pm in the Connected Media World Theatre within the NAB show. The session will explain the new signature show format and 2013/2014 strategy.  This invite only session is aimed at communications and PR professionals within the agency and vendor communities. Please RSVP to Ben Gill, Business Development Manager at BPL-Broadcast on +44 (0) 7972676057 or via [email protected], if you wish to attend this session.
