Mobile application to launch with Monaco Telecom

http://www.netgem.com), a leading provider of IPTV technology and services to Telecom operators worldwide, today announced the launch of its iPhone application, in partnership with telecom operator Monaco Telecom (
http://www.monaco.mc).
An important customer and innovation partner of Netgem, Monaco Telecom plans to introduce the new mobile phone application in June 2010, enabling iPhone-owning customers to control the interactive Monaco TV service powered by NetgemTV via their mobile phone.
“The iPhone is an enormously popular device amongst our customers, so it was a logical next step to work with Netgem to introduce such a mobile application,” explained Martin Péronnet, Monaco Telecom’s managing director. “The feature rich TV service we have created with Netgem, allows us to seamlessly integrate broadcast and Internet delivered content into one very easy user experience. Adding a mobile service is an exciting step in our innovation roadmap.”
The creation of the iPhone application, further illustrates the flexibility of the NetgemTV middleware, which via its exposed APIs, enable third-party developers to create engaging and feature-rich services for Netgem customers.

Built upon its existing cable and internet network, the Monaco Telecom TV service has been developed using the next generation IPTV development platform, NetgemTV and Includes Video On Demand and Media Centre functions, plus numerous internet-based services, including web radio, local Internet TV and a service information portal.
