Netgem connects to Consumer Electronics
« Posted: November 30, 2010, 10:10:31 PM »

At CES 2011 (Ren. 28), Netgem enables operators to take advantage of the surge of multimedia screens in the Home Network

Bringing connected TV services to the connected devices presents operators with both a challenge and an opportunity.

By 2014, connected devices will outnumber IPTV subscribers and additional screens such as smartphones and tablets will come in addition in most homes in the US, and elsewhere. However, less than five percent of PayTV revenues will be derived from these devices according to recent figures from Screen Digest.

From 6 to 9 January 2011, during CES 2011, at the Renaissance Hotel (Ren 28), Netgem, the French leading provider of connected entertainment, will present its IPTV 2.0 solution, on how Netgem can enable operators to leverage existing broadband customer relationship and media assets and thus take advantage of the surge of multimedia screens in the home network.

Netgem is also presenting its latest white-paper signed by Jean-François Galtier, Netgem’s CTO, that outlines why IPTV 2.0 architectures are the future in the age of convergence: “From Intelligent servers to Intelligent Home devices”. To download the white-paper: www.netgem.com
