San Francisco, CA and London, UK–November 12, 2013 – Moogsoft, the leading provider of demand-driven service assurance software, today announced that Dan Fishback has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors, effective October 30, 2013. Mr. Fishback, formerly CEO of DemandTec, will serve as an independent director on the Moogsoft board.
“Dan’s remarkable empathy for global organizations seeking to manage change and complexity goes right to the heart of Moogsoft, making him the ideal choice to round out our board,” said Phil Tee, CEO of Moogsoft. “Dan brought SaaS solutions to market over a decade ago and he is keenly aware of the exponential rates of change that lie ahead for these same organizations.”
Dan’s proven track record includes leading highly successful software startups that help some of the world’s largest corporations apply analytics to solve complex business problems. As CEO of DemandTec, Dan introduced a ground-breaking analytical SaaS solution for retail and consumer product companies. This solution was successfully adopted by WalMart, Safeway, Target, Monoprix, Advanced Auto Parts and many other global Fortune 500 companies. DemandTec was acquired by IBM in 2011. Prior to leading DemandTec, Dan held sales and executive leadership positions at Ariba, Trading Dynamics, Hyperion Software, Arbor Software and Unisys. Dan also serves on the Board of Quantum Retail Technology and DemandHope, and has previously served on the boards of SPS Commerce (SPSC), CorVu Software (CRVU) and DemandTec (DMAN).
“Moogsoft is one of the few companies I’ve encountered that is seriously preparing for the explosive change that will be brought about by global cloud adoption,” said Fishback. “It’s exciting to contribute my expertise in the blending of Moogsoft’s unique vision and technology with discipline and execution, which is a classic recipe for success.”
With the appointment of Mr. Fishback, Moogsoft’s board now comprises five directors, three of whom are external and independent. Moogsoft, which began customer deliveries of MOOG® in February 2012, helps enterprises reduce IT incident management costs, increase operational efficiency and lower the risk of missing service level agreements (SLAs) in complex and changing service-oriented architectures (SOAs), cloud and software-defined infrastructures.
