IGEL UK & Ireland channel partners have been recognised with awards from the thin and zero client manufacturer for their outstanding business performance in 2014. Cetus Solutions was awarded IGEL Technology UK Business Partner of the Year 2014 for its record 155% year-on-year growth.

Regional awards went to Stone for Best Partner in the North with 605% growth and to Intercept for Best Partner in the South for its marketing innovation and business development proactivity. Zinopy took the title for best Irish Partner for its speed of growth.

Commenting on their awards, Simon Richards, Managing Director for IGEL Technology in the UK & Ireland, said: “As the only major thin and zero client provider in Europe with a 100% channel strategy, our channel partners and their customers have prospered in 2014 from our approach. We are seeing organisations across all sectors turning to thin clients, but particularly in healthcare, financial services and the public sector. Customers are using our Universal Desktop Converter 2 software to convert their old PC to IGEL-like thin client devices to extend the return on their desktop investment or directly replacing desktops with IGEL thin and zero clients to save management time and costs. Our German pedigree for design and engineering quality is well received by the market and we continue to grow.”

IGEL in the UK & Ireland saw a 56% growth in its hardware sales in 2014 with channel partner numbers increasing from 108 to 115.

“Our growth is fuelled by our partners’ technical excellence and the commercial expertise they offer to customers,” said Simon. “In 2015, IGEL will continue to invest in additional sales, technical and marketing support to further fuel our partners’ growth. In this way, we all benefit from our 100% channel focused sales model.”

The awards were made at the IGEL Partner Days held in Reading, Manchester and Dublin where IGEL’s partners attended to hear business and product updates, marketing plans and to connect with other partners and exchange information. The events were also used to help recertify partners for the IGEL partner programme.
