EHR, with speech recognition and workflow management capabilities, can now be easily updated using a physician-friendly workflow solution
Baar, Switzerland, August 23, 2011 – me2me AG, a software company delivering productivity software solutions for enterprise mobility, and Mighty Oak Technology, Inc., a Health Information Technology company, today announced that they have signed an agreement to pursuing integration between Frisbee, a dictation, transcription and speech recognition system with workflow capabilities from me2me AG and Chart Talk, an EHR solution from Mighty Oak Technology.
The integration of the two solutions allow physicians to dictate their clinical notes with the recorder of their choice directly into the transcription system Frisbee, using Dragon Medical and Chart Talk’s smart commands and navigation features to record information in the patients chart. Dictations are seamlessly queued to the transcriptionist’s Frisbee workspace, clearly identified with the name of the physician, type of dictation, etc., allowing the transcription to begin immediately by using Frisbee’s integrated speech technology to transform the dictation into structured data directly into Chart Talk.
“For many physicians, voice dictation is the natural way to document patient data. But the success of the EHR depends on the ability to reconcile two opposing needs: the need for structured data capture and the physician’s practical need for a fast way to capture complete information for clinical documentation”, says Peter Hauser, CEO and DOB of me2me AG. “Thanks to the combination of speech recognition and workflow management, the adoption by the physician of an EHR increases because no change in familiar dictation habits is required”.
“We are enthusiastic about this agreement with me2me. We think Frisbee is an easy-to-use, cost effective and excellent dictation front end solution to Chart Talk” says Matt Richard, Vice President of Mighty Oak Technology. “Chart Talk allows a physician to use Dragon Medical the way s/he always wanted to use speech recognition and Frisbee allows to streamline workflows in a practice and clinic, which is the request of most of the physicians”.
