Famous Four Media is pleased to announce the general release of its .PARTY domain ending.
In 2013, ICANN the body that oversees domain names on the Internet embarked on a massive program of change opening up the domain name space to thousands of new domain endings. Web-addresses don't have to end in .com, .net or .org any more, now they can end in almost anything.
Famous Four Media, the registry operator for Domain Venture Partners, is one of the largest portfolio applicant groups leading this revolution and is opening up its .PARTY domain ending to the general public today (17th February 2015) at 15h00 UTC.
"Famous Four Media is excited to be releasing such a lively and fun domain ending" said Andy Churley CMO, Famous Four Media. ".PARTY is an important part of a stable of lifestyle registries under the management of Famous Four Media."
Churley continues "the things you can do with a .PARTY domain name are almost boundless. A .PARTY web address appeals to individuals (
www.mybirthday.party), corporations (
www.productlaunch.party) and communities (
www.redsoxfans.party) including political bodies (
www.political.party). Furthermore, we do not see registrations being limited to people or entities but to individual events (
www.sydney2016.party) and locations (
www.lasvegas.party) as well. The opportunity for every party to have its own web address is extremely exciting. Most importantly we think it's going to be a whole lot of fun! "
Famous Four Media plans to launch 13 more domain extension in 2015 to complement the three domain endings (.BID, .TRADE and .WEBCAM) that it launched in 2014. Domain names can be registered through Famous Four Media's network of ICANN accredited registrars.
