Mentum adds iBwave In-Building Simulation to its Wireless Network Design and Optimization Offering

Global Distribution of Complementary iBwave RF-vu First Step to Fully Integrated Indoor/Outdoor Solution with Mentum Planet

Gatineau, Que. and Montreal, Que. – Nov. 8, 2007 – Mentum and iBwave Solutions, Inc. today jointly announced a partnership that will enable Mentum’s global sales team to distribute iBwave’s RF-vu for in-building wireless network design. The distribution agreement is the first step in a strategic relationship that will deliver the world’s first fully integrated solution for the management of indoor and outdoor networks in a single software product suite.

“It is no longer acceptable to plan and optimize networks based only upon the expected signal strength at street level and assume that’s where users expect service,” said Bernard Breton, chief operating officer and head of sales & marketing, Mentum. “With today’s high-speed networks — and the services they deliver — customers expect their device to work equally well at home, in the car, in the elevator and on the 21st floor of their office tower. We see Mentum Planet combined with the industry-leading in-building RF-vu from iBwave as a compelling solution to the planning and optimization challenges of today’s network operators.”

Under terms of the non-exclusive reseller agreement, Mentum will immediately have rights to distribute RF-vu globally. Mentum will also offer global technical support for RF-vu through its five international office locations.

Research and development engineers from Mentum and iBwave have already started work on an integrated solution and the initial phase should be introduced next spring. Modifications to both software platforms will be implemented to provide customers with a holistic approach to network design – whether indoor or outdoor. Aside from this integrated product offering, this collaborative relationship is expected to allow both companies to augment their signature products and solidify their positions as market leaders in their respective fields.
