Thames, Oxon, UK: 20 September, 2010 – For the fourth consecutive year
MeetingZone, the independent conferencing and collaboration service provider, has been listed in
The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, the annual league table of Britain’s fastest growing private technology companies, which was published yesterday (19 Sept).
“It is a huge accomplishment to appear within The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100. To be listed for the fourth year in a row is testament to the hard work carried out by the entire MeetingZone team,” said Tim Duffy, CEO, and co-founder of MeetingZone. “Growing our revenues by 20% to £9.9M is a real achievement, especially considering the harsh business environment we have all been operating within over the last 12 months.”
Now in its tenth year, The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 sets criteria that companies must meet to be listed. The criteria include: annualised sales to exceed £250,000 in the base year (2006 or 2007) and £5m in the latest year (2009 or 2010). Companies had to also show an increase in sales in their latest year.
“Over the last year we have added yet more blue chip companies to our list of customers and extended our international reach with success in the USA, Canadian and German markets,” added Steve Gandy, COO and MeetingZone co-founder.
In March of this year, MeetingZone once again raised the bar for global conferencing and collaboration by launching a new collaboration portal. The portal has raised industry standards by taking ease of use and self service functionality to the highest levels in the marketplace and will help to drive the widespread adoption of integrated conferencing and collaboration solutions.
“We took the results of extensive research into the audio and web conferencing requirements of our existing and potential customers, and combined this with our technical expertise,” explained Duffy. “This enabled us to design and build an industry leading intuitive conferencing portal that makes it easier than ever before for everyone to collaborate online.”
“Our eight years of consecutive growth have been driven by a no nonsense approach to business. We know that if we provide the best customer service in an open and honest way, leveraging the best technologies, customers will continue to buy from us every day, as we help them to navigate the complexities of collaboration. Our customers will always come first,” concluded Duffy.
