Zurich, 12th July, 2010 – me2me AG, supplier of web and voice services today announces the successful completion of a total merger with Swiss compatriot and leading provider of digital dictation products and voice technology iSpeech. The freshly merged company, which will continue to operate under the me2me brand, will deliver iSpeech’s popular dictation, workflow management and speech recognition product Frisbee as a downloadable mobile smartphone app.
Frisbee facilitates, organizes and speeds up cooperation between experts and administrative staff in environments where spoken text has to be transformed into structured documents. Core segments are the areas of legal, healthcare, public authorities and administration. The integration of all relevant professional dictation machines and mobile telephones enables a free choice of brands. Thousands of doctors, lawyers and other specialists worldwide are already playing their file notes, findings, memos and other correspondence to their back-office as a Frisbee service.
“We are extremely excited by the merger. iSpeech has a strong heritage in digital dictation services with systems operating in the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, France, South Africa and Switzerland. Using the natural synergies between me2me’s portfolio and iSpeech and the ubiquity of mobile devices services, we aim to expand Frisbee worldwide. By the third quarter this year we will have launched the Frisbee Smart solution”, said Peter Hauser, CEO and COB me2me AG, adding: “We will be the first company in the world to come to market with full dictation services and features service for workstation and server based dictation with fast-forward, rewind, insert and more features integrated into smartphones.”
The new Frisbee Smart offering will run alongside me2me’s traditional web and voice services to enable mobile network operators and service providers to retain their customers and attract new ones. The basic me2me service provides users with the possibility to store and retrieve private information using their voice, through a phone call. me2me is constantly expanding its products and services and will be offering digital dictation services for all the leading smartphone operating systems.
“Digital dictation is already very well established in the fields of healthcare, law and public authorities. Providing the iSpeech services to those professionals on the smartphone platform is a natural evolution of the service and merging with me2me will enable that delivery. Furthermore, offering these services to the broader market via the smartphone is the obvious next step in the evolution of digital dictation. We are excited by the merger as me2me’s Swisscom connections will enable Frisbee to serve the mobile service provider community for the first time with a carrier grade SMS and email dictation and text to speech service,” said Milko Jovanoski, CEO iSpeech.
