Drew Rockwell is appointed as CEO and new CMO joins Executive team

The company has also launched its new corporate brand along with a new website (

Drew Rockwell will assume responsibility as CEO of both Martin Dawes Technologies Group companies, which also includes process analytics company MDA Analytics as well as MDS. Having originally joined the company in 2001, Mr. Rockwell assumes his new role having previously been CEO of the Martin Dawes Analytics business, bringing a wealth of industry and executive business experience built over 31 years in the telecommunications industry in a number of executive management and leadership positions.
Prior to Martin Dawes Analytics, Mr. Rockwell spent 20 years at Verizon, most recently as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development. Additionally, he served as Chief Operating Officer of MCK Communications Inc, where he was responsible for engineering, manufacturing, customer support, marketing and business development.

In addition, to Mr. Rockwell’s appointment, Matt Hooper joins the MDS executive team as Chief Marketing Officer responsible for the global marketing of MDS as well as product management. Mr. Hooper has over 16 years’ management and executive experience working in the technology and communications sector, leading the marketing, business development and product operations of companies such Celona, Colibria and Elata through periods of three digit revenue growth, as well as senior positions with Qualcomm, HP, BT, Orange and Parametric Technology. Mr. Hooper is also one of the pioneers of the first generation of Telecoms SDPs (Service Delivery Platforms), which are now key frameworks for all communications service providers world-wide.
Speaking about his role in leading MDS’ rebrand and new corporate positioning, Mr. Hooper commented, “As part of our international expansion plans we are rebranding the company and today we have launched a new corporate website, which includes a greater level of interactivity and information to support the growing community around new generation enterprise customer experience. In addition, we are focusing on new BSS approaches and strategies required in order to enable CSPs to serve existing markets with greater differentiation and launch into new markets faster to support new and growing business models such as VNE.”
