Andorra Telecom, SFR, Eircom, KPN Netherlands, Telefónica Europe, CYTA, OTE and Deutsche Telekom to headline the operator-led speaker line-up in Berlin

5 March 2013- The FTTx Summit Europe is set to explore the advances in deployment and implementation of fibre networks throughout the EMEA region. The issue of ensuring maximum customer take-rate has never been more important as the FTTx market becomes fiercely competitive.

The three-day event being held between 23 - 25 April 2013 at the Estrel Hotel, Berlin, will address the most important issues in FTTx take-rate including how to develop profitable fibre networks.

FTTx Summit Europe is the only operator-led event in this field, and this year’s Summit will once again showcase an unrivalled programme of operator case studies led by CTOs, Directors and Senior NGA experts from over 20 different countries.

The conference will lead with industry-first case studies from international operators and service providers including Andorra Telecom, SFR, Eircom, KPN Netherlands, Telefónica Europe, CYTA and Deutsche Telekom.

Samantha Pullan, Conference Director & Production Lead at Telecoms IQ, the company organising the event commented: “The 2013 Summit looks set to be the most exciting yet. With key operators from across Europe and the Middle East already on-board and brand new presenters, the event is fast becoming THE meeting place for leaders in this space to network and brainstorm with their peers.”

FTTx Summit Europe will offer extended networking and interactive sessions creating an open forum for debate and discussion to really get to the heart of fibre challenges.

Marcus Weinkopf, Vice President Regulatory Affairs Wholesale & Network, at Deutsche Telekom, said about last year’s successful event:

“A fantastic opportunity to network with experts from across Europe and discover how to develop a successful fibre network strategy.”

With over 70% operator attendance at the 2012 Summit, the 3rd FTTx Summit Europe is shaping itself as the ‘must attend’ event in the market.
