Macro 4’s mainframe performance and fault analysis solutions will support IBM z/OS 2.1 at launch

Global software and solutions company Macro 4 has today announced that its mainframe performance and fault analysis solutions will support the new IBM z/OS Version 2 Release 1 when it becomes available on September 30, 2013.

“We’re part of IBM’s early test program which means we always work closely with IBM to ensure our mainframe performance and fault analysis solutions support new releases of z/OS from day one, and the same is true for z/OS 2.1,” said Michelle Harris, Product Release Manager at Macro 4. “IBM has said that z/OS 2.1 is going set the groundwork for the next tier of mainframe computing. That statement is backed up by a whole range of new enhancements and capabilities that will allow enterprises to manage highly scalable workloads. Our fault analysis, testing and debugging and performance management software will be supporting this exciting new release as soon as it becomes available.”
