LeaseWeb, one of Europe’s largest hosting providers, announced today that it reached an agreement with IBM to further expand its portfolio of dedicated servers.
The agreement integrates IBM System x3630 M3 servers with LeaseWeb’s existing dedicated server portfolio. The IBM System x3630 M3 will help LeaseWeb to meet growing performance and storage demands from customers, with a cost-effective, high-capacity dedicated server solution. The flexible design of the IBM servers provides extensive configuration options and allows LeaseWeb’s customers to upgrade to more robust features as needs change over time. The performance, reliability and delivery speed of IBM’s System x3630 M3 servers were key reasons for adding IBM to LeaseWeb’s preferred list of hardware vendors.
Ruud Mous, Commercial Director, LeaseWeb, commented, “LeaseWeb offers a level of flexibility unmatched in the hosting industry. We host a broad range of technologies from a mix of vendors that include servers, networking equipment, storage environments and operating systems. This extension to LeaseWeb’s existing range of server products further proves we are going above and beyond to listen and respond to growing customer demand.”
“The agreement with LeaseWeb is yet another step to bring innovative cloud solutions to customers,” says Tom Sluys, IBM System x and Bladecenter Business Unit Manager Benelux: “With our worldwide presence and knowledge of the datacenter IT infrastructure IBM offers LeaseWeb and its customers innovative solutions with an excellent Total Cost of Ownership.”
