KidsCotv.tv enables multiplatform commercial opportunities

London, UK 27 May, 2010 - Kidsco, the international children’s channel, today re-launched its website, now fully equipped with cutting edge interactive features and activities to capture children’s imaginations. Kidscotv.tv gives kids the freedom to shape content and engage online with each other as well as featuring KidsCo favourite characters including Sonic the Hedgehog,  Dino Squad and original content Boo & Me and Jass Time!.

KidsCotv.tv will first re-launch in Australia on May 27th. The site will subsequently roll out across Asia, Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East in 11 languages by September of 2010. The new design will provide brands with multiplatform commercial opportunities to engage with KidsCo’s core audience of children and families on a multinational or regional basis.

KidsCotv.tv will feature live streaming of full-length episodes of original KidsCo productions as well as programme trailers. Children are now able to explore interactive opportunities on the website including a selection of new games and downloads, as well as regionally tailored competitions. Kids can also upload photos, drawings and jokes and share them with other KidsCo fans. The site offers child-friendly browsing through 3D imaging, animated icons and carousel scrolling.

Paul Robinson, Managing Director of KidsCo said: “Today’s children are going digital earlier with the majority of kids already having access to the internet at home. As a channel, we set out to distinguish ourselves in the television market and have redesigned the website to extend our family-friendly, educational entertainment online. As a result, we have created an interactive online community which offers exciting and fun activities and programming for six to 10 year old kids that complements the channel and provides them with a fun and safe online community.”

Rob Mackenzie, Sales Director Worldwide, KidsCo, adds: “The launch of our second-generation website has provided us with the opportunity to offer clients the chance to advertise on our website as well as on the channel. We are looking forward to working closely with commercial partners to develop multiplatform advertising packages that will help them reach a targeted audience of children and families.”

The website was developed for KidsCo by Prism Entertainment, the television and digital content provider.
