Kapsch CarrierCom and mobilkom austria won the Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award in the “Business Service Innovation” category in London
Vienna/London – Kapsch CarrierCom, one of the leading system innovators with a portfolio of fixed, mobile, transportation and access network solutions, together with mobilkom austria AG won the international “Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award” in London. Experts selected the jointly developed convergent voice telephony solution for small and medium-sized enterprises in the category “Business Service Innovation”. This solution enables a complete integration of mobile and fixed telephony for the first time. This award is among the most renowned in the technology industry. Projects, implemented in co-operation with mobile operators, service providers, manufacturers and suppliers, are honored.
“This award is evidence of the long-term and successful co-operation with mobilkom austria. Based upon our broad portfolio and extensive experience, we are able to meet our customer’s needs precisely and to provide the foundation for those solutions, which generate sustainable customer benefit. We have once again revolutionized the communication market with our solutions and underlined our strong reputation as a leading system innovator,” said Thomas Schöpf, Kapsch CarrierCom’s COO, who is delighted about the award.
The Convergent Centrex network architecture (CCentrex), developed by Kapsch CarrierCom, is based on the proven jNetX IN-solution. It provides the basis for the implementation of the “A1 Network Professional” convergent voice telephony solution. Future telephony, video and messaging implementations are also enabled. A complete communication solution, which includes voice and video telephony for circuit switched mobile as well as for SIP equipment becomes reality. Many functions such as data transfer, location information and network- based directories are integrated.
A complete integration for the end-user of mobile, fixed and PC telephony is possible for the first time. The fixed network, the mobile and the PC phone can ring simultaneously and/or time-delayed as desired with each call ensuring that no call is ever missed. Consequently, every employee is reachable using a single extension, has a joint voice mailbox for the fixed and mobile phone, and can access a central directory from all phones. The fax machine can also be integrated into this solution. The system will be completely customized to the customer’s requirements and the network administrator can centrally deactivate and/or activate the equipment or functions for an end-user and/or the entire company at any time. The integration of different communication tools raises productivity and leads to a noticeable cost reduction.
