The new Intrexx 5 Professional enables users to create their own mobile enterprise applications for smartphones and the iPad with just a few clicks of the mouse and without any programming knowledge. With this feature United Planet is responding to its customers' growing need to be able to use portal applications when they are on the move.

Creating an application that can be accessed via the iPhone, BlackBerry, iPad and other mobile devices is very easy: After having built an application with Intrexx via ‘drag and drop’, simply select the desired mobile device. Intrexx automatically takes care of the technical implementation and special requirements of the selected device (such as bandwidth or sliding effects). Even data from existing software systems (ERP, CRM etc.) can be transferred to the mobile phone quickly and easily. An entire enterprise portal can be made mobile in just a few days. To facilitate a speedy start, Intrexx 5 Professional includes 30 ready-to-use applications as standard.

United Planet has been able to achieve this by developing an entirely new layout designer based on CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) which allows the user to position each element, right down to the pixel.
