19 October 2010 - Interxion, a leading European operator of carrier-neutral data centres, has appointed Peter Cladingbowl as Senior Vice President Engineering & Operations Support.

In the newly expanded role, he will oversee the exacting standards-based design, build, operation and ongoing maintenance of Interxion’s 28 European data centres, and the continuing development of the company’s pan-European footprint and services.

Peter brings extensive experience to the new role, with a particularly deep knowledge of the carrier industry. Before joining Interxion, he worked with Global Crossing, where he was Vice President IT EMEA and then Vice President Operations, EMEA. In addition to eleven years of experience in the telecoms industry, Peter has spent six years in manufacturing and supply chain management and four years in the offshore oil industry. He is a graduate in engineering from the University of Cape Town.
