Simple, secure enterprise Authentication-as-a-Service at 50% of managed authentication service costs

21 July 2011 – IAM Cloud, enterprise strength Authentication-as-a-Service that simplifies secure remote IT access and costs 50% less on average than managed authentication services has been launched by www.iam-secure.com, powered by the Identity & Access Management specialist Nexus.

To be available exclusively at www.iam-secure.com from next quarter, IAM Cloud provides fast two-factor authentication deployment via SMS, soft tokens and OATH standard hardware tokens with no new infrastructure requirements or costs – just a low monthly subscription fee per user.

IAM Cloud aims to reduce the overheads associated with enterprise strength authentication platforms, often delivered as a managed service or requiring large hardware investments. It also provides greater authentication choice than low cost pay per use SMS authentication services.

Based on industry standards IAM Cloud interoperates easily with existing remote access applications and security systems. Any application, router, firewall or gateway that supports RADIUS can use IAM Cloud’s simple and cost effective authentication benefits.

Hosted within a secure data centre IAM Cloud allows specifically authorised remote services to identify and authenticate their users via multiple Two Factor Authentication methods.  RADIUS protocols for external access and encrypted internal access provides security and privacy assurance. Customers nominate which of their servers will make the authentication requests. It is then validated and added to the firewall and RADIUS configuration so that only that server can authenticate users.
