7th May 2013 – London: Hewlett Packard, the world’s largest technology company, will provide the first regional preview of its newly launched HP Moonshot solution at Datacentres Europe 2013 (www.datacentreseurope.com), Europe’s global IT Infrastructure forum for datacentre and cloud users and operators.

Datacentres Europe 2013 delivers an extensive programme with around 100 speakers that assemble many of the critical technical, operational, and commercial topics that confront day to day management of facilities. A host of topics, enterprise IT speakers and case studies will be provided across 4 theatres offering a mix of insight tracks, solution sessions, plenary sessions, and training workshops. It will also provide inspiring perspectives of Cloud and Energy, vertical markets, finance and business models, outsourcing, new developments in modular and innovative technologies.

HP Moonshot will provide a powerful example of new technology as the world’s first software defined web server that will accelerate innovation while delivering breakthrough efficiency and scale. With nearly 10 billion devices connected to the internet and predictions for exponential growth, the point has been reached where space, power, and cost demands of traditional technology are no longer sustainable. HP Moonshot marks the beginning of a new style of IT that will change the infrastructure economics and lay the foundation for the next 20 billion devices.

“We see the continued move into high computing power,” commented Ivan Jascur, EMEA Strategy Leader, Critical Facilities Services at Hewlett-Packard. “combined with large storage and a modular network, and integrated into much smaller system form factors – saving space and power and providing significantly higher performance and capacity. Obviously we lead that trend with HP Moonshot.”

“Datacentres Europe combines a great platform to provide our clients and partners with HP solutions in the domain of data centres – whether it concerns MEP or IT infrastructure or related developments and drivers around Cloud, Energy and Management. This pan-EMEA event is great to share and discuss with the participants our HP Solutions around HP Converged Cloud, Big Data and Data Center Consulting,” said Mr Jascur.

Hewlett Packard is the Global Platinum Sponsor of Datacentres Europe 2013, and the event is also sponsored by leading international companies. The event hosts the annual European Code of Conduct Awards presented by the European Commission, and the event is supported by the European Data Centre Association (EUDCA), CESIT, Cluster TIC Infopole and eco Verband der deutschen Internetwirtschaft e.V.
