Company to showcase new firewall generation: gateprotect V9
Hamburg, Germany. 14 February 2011 – gateProtect AG (
http://www.gateprotect.com/) will be exhibiting at CeBIT again this year and showcasing its new generation of firewalls. Version 9 has a raft of new features including enhancements to its intrusion prevention functions as well as a completely re-engineered software architecture. The expansion of gateProtect’s global partner network will provide an additional discussion topic on the company’s stand (Hall 11, stand A36). CeBIT takes place from 1 to 5 March 2011 in Hanover, Germany.
gateProtect has completely revised and updated its firewall solutions. The new generation of its Unified Threat Management (UTM) firewall, which will be shown in its beta version on the company’s stand at CeBIT, now includes multiple enhancements to its intrusion prevention system (IPS). These new features are built on a completely re-engineered software architecture that will bring customers better performance, more security and increased stability. In addition, the new firewalls are already IPv6-enabled, a point which will certainly be of interest to public authorities in particular, as well as to companies. They are also registered for EAL4+ certification, the international standard for evaluating IT security.
“We’re looking forward to CeBIT and are expecting to have a lot of interesting discussions with current and future customers and partners,” says Dennis Monner, CEO of gateProtect. “The show will provide an opportunity for us to convince more companies of the benefits of our solutions. We’ve seen an increase in demand that is reflected in the size of our stand – at 180m2 it’s twice as big as last year’s. The growth in gateProtect’s business has also been demonstrated for some time now by the increase in our international expansion. We’ve also hired twenty new staff just in the last few weeks – in sales, development and support roles.”
