NextiraOne, Europe’s leading expert in communications services, has been chosen by the business school ESSCA in Angers, one of France’s leading higher education colleges, to renew its unified communications infrastructure for its sites at Angers and Boulogne. The architecture is based around a Microsoft Lync server environment and Exchange 2010.
“We wanted to be able to provide our staff and students in France and abroad with new opportunities to collaborate and work at an international level. Thanks to the services provided by NextiraOne we are able to offer powerful collaboration tools that are also easy to use. NextiraOne’s teams have worked closely with us and advised us throughout the project,” said Patrick Seigeot, Director of Information Systems at ESSCA.
In order to carry out this major project, NextiraOne designed a Lync architecture solution for 250 users, and has deployed an integrated solution directly to the desktop. NextiraOne also worked closely with ESSCA to complete its migration to Exchange 2010, and supported the migration of desktop and SIP terminals for telephony, video, messaging, presence and collaboration to Outlook 2010 and Lync Client 2010.
The Lync solution was deployed on the Angers and Boulogne sites with an external Lync web portal allowing centralised administration of the unified communications solution. NextiraOne has also provided change management and skills transfer services.
Sebastian Penel, Business Solution Manager at NextiraOne said: "The new unified communications infrastructure will enable ESSCA to benefit from the seamless integration of all its communications tools at the desktop and access to collaboration tools from the French sites and also from abroad. The infrastructure we have put in place will provide an efficient, easy to use environment for students and staff at the business school.”
