London, UK – 23 April 2013 – Flexiant, a leading international provider of cloud orchestration software, today announced it has been included as a “Cool Vendor” in the Cloud Management, 2013[1] report by Gartner, Inc.
Gartner
Gartner defines a cool vendor as a company that offers technologies or solutions that are: Innovative, enable users to do things they couldn't do before; Impactful, have, or will have, business impact (not just technology for the sake of technology); Intriguing, have caught Gartner's interest or curiosity in approximately the past six months.
According to the report’s Key Findings, “emerging cloud management vendors gain traction because of their innovation, which typically does not exist at large cloud management vendors.”
George Knox, CEO, Flexiant said, “Flexiant is gaining traction because we deliver a superior cloud management solution that allows service providers to get to market quickly. Many of our customers turned to Flexiant because they did not want to waste time internally attempting to deliver a product without the range of capabilities offered by Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator or because their internal projects failed to deliver on time. Flexiant is a quick route to market that can change a cloud service business in seven days.”
“We consider the Gartner Cool Vendor selection as only the latest proof point to Flexiant’s success in offering cloud service providers an innovative, break-out solution.”
“Inclusion in the Gartner Cool Vendors in Cloud Management report, we believe, confirms the advanced features of Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator, which offers highly scalable, multi-hypervisor support, multi-level metering and billing for cloud resources, innovative API interface, Bento Box capability for modeling and provisioning of applications and functionality for service providers to create a reseller business model,” said Knox.
Over the last year, Flexiant has penetrated the cloud service provider market by offering a cloud management solution that quickly creates new cloud services, enables differentiation and ultimately generates new revenue sources. Additional proof points to Flexiant’s innovation and market penetration include:
More customer orders in Q1 of 2013 than the entire 2012; a fivefold increase compared to 2011
£6 million in overall funding received; the latest £3.75 million announced earlier this month
Rated by Info-Tech Research Group[2] as exemplary, Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator achieved the highest available ratings in areas such as usability, affordability, architecture and strategy, Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator gained the highest product rating out of all other vendors in this report.
451 Group said in a report[3], “Meeting the needs of these service providers calls for much more than simply spinning up VMs, and thanks to its heritage inside a hosting company, Flexiant is in a position to understand the requirements at first hand. Service providers need to adapt to capture the market opportunity, compete on differentiated services, create new revenue streams and higher-margin offerings, and achieve operational productivity gains. Flexiant's software is designed to help them do all this.”
The report examined five vendors providing cloud management platforms and/or cloud migration capabilities to support IT leaders and cloud architects.
Knox concluded, “If you are a cloud service provider, you need a cloud management solution that has been tried and tested in the market and is tailored to your business. That is exactly what you get with Flexiant.”
