Austin schools need to embrace greater technology in the classroom, and universities must take the lead in promoting higher education among secondary school students, said a panel of education leaders at the Texas Union Monday. As part of the event, Austin citizens and UT students and faculty were the first to view a documentary Monday about a school in an economically disadvantaged neighborhood that provides a new, technology advanced learning environment.
