Company Posts Record Q3 2010 Sales Results, Expanded Customer Base To More Than 750 Customers

During the quarter the company expanded its customer base to more than 750 customers and gained significant new market share.
Along with strong sales results and double digit percentage quarter over quarter growth, the company continued to execute in a variety of important areas during the quarter. Key achievements in Q3 2010 include the following:
• Growing Global Market Share: With more than 750 customers, ExaGrid continued to grow its customer base and worldwide market share. ExaGrid has the industry’s largest installed base of GRID scalable disk backup appliances with data deduplication in mid-market and small enterprise companies, with more than 3,000 systems installed at more than 1,100 customer sites worldwide. Nearly half of ExaGrid’s customers have completely eliminated tape in their storage environments using ExaGrid appliances for both onsite and offsite backups.
• 200 Real-World ExaGrid Customer Success Stories: First-hand experiences with ExaGrid are published on the company’s website, including case studies from leaders like American Standard, Bird & Bird, California Department of Veterans Affairs, City of Fort Lauderdale, Commonwealth of Massachusetts – IT Division, Cross Country Homes, Kentucky League of Cities, Prestige Brands, Southeastern Container, and U.S. Probation office. These are more published customer endorsements and success stories than all competitors combined.
• Worldwide Channel Growth: ExaGrid announced participation in the Symantec Alliance Network program, a co-marketing initiative designed to help channel partners uncover new revenue opportunities with joint solutions from Symantec and selected Symantec alliance partners. ExaGrid also continued adding to its global base of nearly 400 channel partners, including a growing number of regional value-added resellers. ExaGrid delivered a record percentage of the company’s business through channel partners, and continues to successfully scale its global channel sales model.
• Industry Recognition and Leadership: During the quarter, ExaGrid customer, Poulin Grain, was named one of five finalists for SNW/Computerworld’s “Best Practices” Award. The award winners will be announced October 13. This follows ExaGrid being named “One to Watch” by Storage magazine at the annual Storage Awards in London in Q2, and the Q1 selection of ExaGrid as Storagemagazine-SearchStorage.com’s Backup and Recovery Hardware “Product of the Year.”
• Product Enhancements: ExaGrid added support for Veeam Software’s backup application (v. 4.x) and the IBM System i platform (AS400 or iSeries). Customers using Veeam’s industry-leading backup product for VMware environments or who need to backup AS400 data can now get faster, more reliable backups with ExaGrid’s high-performance, scalable disk-based backup appliance while also integrating quickly and easily with their existing infrastructures.
