LONDON – January 28, 2011 - TOA Technologies, the only cloud-based provider of predictive mobile workforce management and proactive customer communication software solutions, is discussing the challenges facing the utilities industry to roll-out smart meters to households across Europe at the Smart Metering UK & Europe Summit taking place in London on January 27-28, 2011.
Richard Alden, European President of TOA Technologies will present “Smart Appointments for Smart Metering,” a session that looks at the logistics of managing the in-home appointments required to install smart-meters and reduce the high-volumes of missed appointments and wasted visits whilst reducing the operating costs and improving the customer experience.
TOA Technologies logoAs a platinum sponsor of the event, Alden will be also presenting the Rollout Innovation Award during the annual European Smart Metering Awards which recognise excellence in smart metering and acknowledges those that are playing a defining role in moving the industry forwards.
“With the introduction of smart metering across Europe, the utilities sector is facing a lot of challenges from choosing the right technology to delivering it to their customers,” said Richard Alden, president of TOA Technologies in Europe. “At TOA we try to help utilities companies manage their implementations and servicing by providing a real-time view of all field activities and managing on-going customer communication. Firms that have deployed the TOA solution have seen a reduction in the number of “no-shows”, reduced the number of miles driven, increased the number of appointments completed each day and reduced their overall operating costs whilst improving customer satisfaction.”
