Erlang Solutions Pioneers the First Total Erlang Development Environment

Stockholm, Sweden, November 19, 2010 - Erlang Solutions Ltd, the world’s largest specialist Erlang services and support company,  today announced the introduction of its new continuous integration environment, Swarm, which will bring to market a new portfolio of bespoke Erlang/OTP (Open Telecom Platform) packages and make them available to more Erlang users worldwide than ever before. In addition to this, Erlang Solutions also announces today that each new Erlang/OTP package will come with fully customised commercial grade support.

Due for roll-out over the next 12 months, Swarm is a collaborative development environment, which will enable Erlang Solutions to create a wider portfolio of bespoke Erlang/OTP packages available beyond erlang.org  opening up Erlang, the programming language, to a broader user-base.  Swarm will support the full span of platforms, from embedded to super computers, and can be used to custom-build, on a near demand basis, Erlang applications.

Erlang Solutions’ commercial support for Erlang/OTP gives users the opportunity to provide their customers with a service backed by a service level agreement (SLA).  The support will be tailored for each user’s requirements, from lone developers to Fortune 500 companies, giving them access to specialist consultancy, whenever they need it, and whatever they need it for.  Users will also have access to SLA guidelines, online sign-up and ticket reporting, and immediate access to patches as they become available.

For the first time in Erlang’s history, users can access both a broader portfolio of Erlang/OTP packages and commercial grade support through one source, Erlang Solutions, providing existing Erlang users with the best service available on the market and creating a new launch pad for new users.

“We are entering an exciting era for Erlang and Erlang Solutions is proud to be providing a unique total environment to the entire development ecosystem, worldwide,” said Marcus Taylor, CEO, Erlang Solutions Ltd. “Our vision is to bring Erlang to the fore as the programming language of choice by making it as accessible and as compelling as possible through our unique offering. We are confident that with our commitment to delivering a best of breed environment for Erlang users and with the support of our dedicated staff, who make up the largest grouping of Erlang specialists in the world, we can make this a reality.”
