London, October 7: The winners of the EPiServer Awards 2010 for website excellence in the UK, Ireland & Middle East have been announced today at an awards ceremony during the EPiServer Customer and Partner Day at the Emirates Stadium.
- Silverstone Circuits wins Best B2C Website (partner: Yucca)
- The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is awarded Best B2B Website (partner: Fortune Cookie)
- Translink triumphs in the Best Website for a public sector or not-for-profit organization category (partner Biznet IIS)
Michael Collins, Director of i-Publishing Consultants and Chairman of the Judges said, “The quality of the entries was extremely impressive and these entries stand as shining examples of best practice in engaging customers online through content, community, commerce and communication.”
Silverstone’s visually appealing website impressed the judges, “This website has been able to very effectively promote all parts of the business, demonstrable in the significant revenues generated. The ROI of 1130% in just five months is phenomenal.”
For CIMA, the judges cite: “This complex project has brought huge benefits to CIMA not least in saving two days a week in editor time having implemented the EPiServer platform. Personalisation and single-sign on functionality gives users relevant information and the ability to access the community and the CRM services seamlessly.”
In the public sector or not-for-profit category, Translink’s integrated public transport website took the honours, the judges said, “This website gives the people of Northern Ireland (and visitors to the region) an excellent resource to turn to when planning their journeys. Presented very clearly, users can easily access travel updates and news as well as save key content, such as favourite timetables and planned journeys in a ‘My Translink’ section.”
Neal Perry, Country Manager UK, Ireland & Middle East said, “We are delighted with the high calibre of the entries, which showcase the results that can be generated online today. The winners should be incredibly proud of their achievements, it’s inspiring to see how they have improved their business online by delivering engaging online experiences for their target audiences.”
