EnterpriseDB Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Operational Database Management Systems

EnterpriseDB interprets the placement of EDB in the Leaders Quadrant is part of a significant shift in the competitive landscape among database vendors. The four largest traditional vendors – Oracle, Microsoft, SAP and IBM – are no longer the sole representatives of marketplace leaders as identified by Gartner in its periodic survey of database vendors.
The recognition comes as Postgres gathers greater momentum with global brands accepting Postgres’ growing technical prowess while simultaneously seeking to divert the high license and maintenance fees paid to traditional databases to more strategic IT objectives.
