MAIDENHEAD, UK – Feb 5, 2013 – Embarcadero Technologies, a leading provider of software solutions for application and database development, today announced it has acquired AnyDAC from DA-SOFT Technologies. AnyDAC is a powerful, yet easy-to-use software development library for enterprise-class data access. AnyDAC is known for its high performance, rich developer feature-set, and ease of use. Embarcadero plans to incorporate AnyDAC based technology into its multi-device app development tools, which include Delphi, C++Builder, and RAD Studio. Embarcadero developer tools roadmap includes single source native deployment to Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices in 2013.
Embarcadero Delphi and C++ Builder are trusted products for developing multi-device database applications of every type of database architecture — client, client/server, multi-tier, and web services. With the addition of AnyDAC’s data access technology, Embarcadero will enhance its enterprise-level development tool offerings, including the best high-speed, universal data access API that also allows developers to access database specific features and deploy across multiple operating systems and hardware platforms.
“The acquisition of AnyDAC reinforces Embarcadero’s multi-device developer stack,” said Michael Swindell, Embarcadero senior vice president of products. “The fast and easy-to-use AnyDAC data access technology will enhance developers’ ability to integrate Enterprise database content into applications across a wide range of platforms and devices, all from single code base.”
Embarcadero plans to release AnyDAC enhanced products and frameworks in 2013. Embarcadero also plans to offer DA-SOFT’s AnyDAC customers a seamless path forward with Embarcadero products. Existing AnyDAC customers can go to
