ElasticHosts targets high-growth Latin American and US markets with launch of new Data Centres in Miami and Dallas

The cloud server provider has also announced global availability for its new auto-scaling, pay-for-use Elastic Containers

London, 9th October 2014: Cloud server provider, ElasticHosts, has today launched new US data centres in Dallas, Texas, and Miami, Florida, in response to increased demand for cloud in the US and the emerging Latin American market. Added to this, ElasticHosts is also updating and expanding its presence in Sydney, Australia; now all customers of ElasticHosts’ 10 data centres will be able to use the company’s new flagship solution: Elastic Containers.
By offering cloud hosting from Miami, ElasticHosts seeks to target new customers in Latin America and better serve organisations based on the East Coast of the US, while also helping companies selling into the Latin American Market offer a better experience to end users. Miami is located at the hub of subsea cables that service Latin America and East Coast US, offering strong connectivity between these two continents.
Richard Davies, CEO of ElasticHosts explained, “This launch will allow us to accelerate our growth in the booming Latin American cloud market. The new Miami DC allows us to expand into this market while also providing better support to our customers on the East Coast; further broadening our footprint across the US and worldwide.”
Juan Saldarriaga, CEO at DotCom Systems, will be one of the first customers to host their cloud from the Miami data centre and added, “We are glad to hear that ElasticHosts has launched its new Miami data centre as it will allow us to reduce latency to existing customers on the East Coast of the US and explore new, exciting opportunities with customers in Latin America that previously were out of reach.”
In addition to Miami, ElasticHosts has also extended its relationship with data centre provider Equinix with the launch of a new data centre in Dallas, Texas, and the expansion of its data centre in Sydney, Australia. This growth has been driven in response to increasing demand for its new next generation servers: Elastic Containers. Organisations typically realise 50% cost saving for their Linux workloads when moving to Elastic Containers from virtual machines. In addition, ElasticHosts is offering 1TB free bandwidth to all customers in the new data centres.
The new Miami, Dallas and Sydney data centres mean Elastic Containers will now be available to ElasticHosts customers from all of its global locations including: San Jose (Silicon Valley) and Los Angeles, California; Toronto, Canada; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Hong Kong; as well as its two London, UK, locations. Elastic Containers can be purchased directly from ElasticHosts’ website: www.elastichosts.com
