Integration of access points and antennas for professional planning
London, UK, Thursday 5th November, 2009—The Ekahau Site Survey (ESS) tool is for professional wireless-network planning and optimisation and, as of version 4.6, supports all access points and wireless LAN antennas from LANCOM Systems, the network specialists based in Aachen, Germany. The extensive range of functions for three-dimensional network planning makes it even easier to set up LANCOM WLAN installations to the utmost professional standards, and to optimise the employed infrastructure.
"The complete integration of our WLAN product range into the Ekahau Site Survey tool greatly simplifies the planning of wireless networks based on components from LANCOM," explains Frank Janssen, WLAN Product Manager at LANCOM Systems. "Coverage can be optimised, the number of devices employed can be reduced, and potential problem areas can be identified and eliminated in advance."
"Integrating LANCOM WLAN products into ESS is the perfect addition to our product," says Jussi Kiviniemi, Senior Product Manager at Ekahau. "In Europe in particular, the demand for our tool to support LANCOM access points and antennas has strongly increased recently," continues Kiviniemi.
