Another successful exhibition brings visitors from over 60 different countries the latest developments from the optical communications market
Nexus Business Media Ltd, organiser of the ECOC (European Conference on Optical Communications) 2013 exhibition, has today announced that this year’s show has again experienced an increase in visitors and a record number of presentations at the highly acclaimed Market Focus.
The show at the ExCel Centre in London last month attracted 5,600 industry professionals to view the latest optical communication solutions from more than 300 exhibitors and to hear the ever successful Market Focus presentations from a host of industry-leading executives.
BT, Ethernet Alliance, FTTH Council Europe and Oclaro pulled large crowds with their discussion-evoking seminars covering optical network agility, optical integration, high speed optical transmission and mass market broadband. The Market Focus seminars were once again a central attraction at the exhibition and this year saw an impressive 29 presentations from 37 leading industry speakers.

“The Market Focus a great success once again and surpassed all expectations, attracting 1,800 attendees to the sessions, which was this year held over three days. There were fantastic presentations from leading companies including Tellabs, ClariPHY, Avago, Inphi, Optical Internetworking Forum and Verizon.”

Over 1000 delegates also flocked to the conference which had two special symposiums and a variety of plenary speaker sessions attracting industry leaders, scientists and academia from around the globe.
