~ Consumer electronics reseller, Ebuyer.com, teams up with new extended warranty provider, SquareTrade, to offer customers low-cost warranty protection for the first time ~

London, England, 10 November - Ebuyer, one of the largest Internet resellers of consumer electronics, has announced a partnership with SquareTrade, the new warranty company, to allow customers to purchase affordable extended warranty protection direct from the Ebuyer site. Ebuyer, who offer 19,000 electronic products, selected SquareTrade on the basis that their warranty coverage offers better value for money and strong customer service with prices on average 40% cheaper than typical warranties.

It's the first time that Ebuyer is offering customers the opportunity to purchase extended warranties to protect their purchases from accidental damage or repair costs. Ebuyer had not previously offered extended warranties to their customers but felt that SquareTrade's package offered customers a good deal. "Offering our customers excellent value for money is one of our core principles as a business," said Marc Faulkner, Product Manager at Ebuyer. "We've never deemed warranties as being worth the money before, but SquareTrade's warranties change all that, giving affordable protection and good service too. Ebuyers know that we'll only endorse quality products and now that includes warranties too. It's a really exciting move for us and good news for our customers."

Once purchased, Ebuyer customers can manage their warranty on the SquareTrade website and will also have option to store a copy of the item receipt, making it easy to locate the necessary paperwork should you need to make a claim.
