Netadmin’s tried and tested open access network management platform is to be implemented at leading Dutch cable service provider CAIW as 150k lines are upgraded to fibre
22 March 2012 Leading Dutch cable operator CAIW has brought in Netadmin Systems to implement an open access management platform. CAIW expects a surge in customers and services as the rollout of fibre on the network it operates on is vastly extended.
Netadmin has extensive experience in managing customers, services, subscriptions and equipment on open access networks. It is the market leader in the Nordics and is growing rapidly in international markets, now with more than 100 customers in 15 countries.
The new platform will ensure CAIW achieves its full business potential. CAIW will realise higher efficiency and customer uptake, as well as retention through improved quality.
Ruud Wielaard, Technical Director of CAIW, said Netadmin came recommended as the experts in open network management platforms for Fibre to the Home (FTTH).
“Netadmin has implemented network management platforms for many operators across Europe and we were therefore driven to go with their proven software. The efficiency savings and quality gains are demonstrated in projects that are up and running and we therefore see it as essential for the successful growth of our customer base and services,” he said.
CAIW is active primarily in the western Netherlands and operates under the brand name Caiway. It currently has in excess of 159,000 television customers, 83,000 internet subscribers and 40,000 VOIP users.
Torbjörn Sandberg, CEO of Netadmin, commented: “The Netadmin software is developed from an operator perspective. It simplifies and automates business processes in order to deliver services to the end customer. From this point it automatically handles the administration of the technical solution in the network. Because the solution has been developed from this perspective, it is extremely effective and a must have in open access conditions.”
News of this contract win follows the announcement by Netadmin last year of its continuing expansion. It has extended its reach into Europe to ramp up growth.
