London – 8th June 2010 –
BravoSolution, the international leader in Supply Management software and services, today announces that DEFRA has selected the BravoSolution eSourcing Platform to enhance the Department’s procurement processes.
DEFRA will use the eSourcing Platform for all procurement expenditures of £25,000 or more across a wide variety of categories, including animal welfare monitoring, aerial surveillance and emergency procurement. The agreement also enables DEFRA to utilise BravoSolution’s Vendor Management service to foster closer relationships with suppliers and make it easier for them to submit proposals, as well as the Evaluation service to enhance the decision-making process. The Department also has a plan in place to use the BravoSolution eAuction facility to generate even greater value from the sourcing process.
BravoSolution was selected for the project following a competitive tender. The company’s experience as the original supplier within the Buying Solutions Framework and its ability to meet DEFRA’s specific needs over and above its competitors were key factors in the decision.
“The work DEFRA conducts is as diverse as it is critical to the UK,” says Nader Sabbaghian CEO, BravoSolution. “As a result of this diversity, the Department is faced with a wide range of purchasing challenges in its ongoing quest for best value. We are delighted that DEFRA has selected the BravoSolution eSourcing Platform to help address these challenges and are confident that we will be able to help the Department generate substantial cost savings across a wide range of categories, as well as significantly reducing the amount of paper required, reducing procurement’s impact on the environment. Furthermore, by conducting the procurement process online, the tender process has been opened up to an ever wider range of potential suppliers, ensuring the best possible options are chosen for each scenario.”
