Datum sets the scene for the Data Centre of the future at the DC Summit

FARNBOROUGH – 16 September 2013 – Datum Datacentres is proud to sponsor the upcoming Data Centre Summit at the Tower Hilton, London on Tuesday 24 September, where the theme is the evolving role of the data centre, particularly in relation to the transition to cloud, and the need for a new level of data centre efficiency, flexibility and responsiveness.

If, as predicted, as much as 64% of all data centre traffic will be processed in the cloud rather than on-premise by 2016, how can you ensure that your data centre of the future will provide the service that your organisation will require? These and other topics will be discussed within a full programme that comprises expert keynote presentations, real world case studies and interactive discussion panels led by senior IT practitioners who will share their tips for data centre strategies and views on the future of data centre and cloud.

Dominic Phillips, Managing Director of Datum Datacentres, notes “We are delighted to support this excellent event. The summit provides a great forum to discuss the prime role of neutral co-location data centres such as Datum in enabling enterprises to directly connect to private, hybrid and public cloud services and as a result deliver increased agility and performance to their core business.”

The event is free to register – come along to join the discussion. You get a great opportunity to understand how to successfully select and implement a next generation cloud solution, discover the challenges and hidden costs associated with moving into the cloud, to realise the importance of data centre infrastructure and connectivity, and a lot more besides that will help you to plan your journey to the Cloud more effectively.
