CTTS is set to bring the latest developments in fibre deployment to the 2008 European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communications (ECOC). The CTTS event will take the form of live demonstrations and free training courses for visitors at the exhibition to be held 22-25 September in Brussels.
The exclusive event will feature live demonstrations of Air blown fibre technology and Alloptic Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network (GEPON), microduct calibration and testing, fibre splicing and activation testing, as well as key ISP and OSP equipment deployed in modern FTTH networks. There will also be free training available for visitors, including courses on modern fusion splicing, PON testing, fibre optic connector cleaning, fibre characterisation and cable identification using Acoustic Detection Equipment.
The CTTS training sessions will run alongside the ECOC exhibition at the CTTS training centre in Hall 9. To register to attend these sessions go to
www.ecocexhibition.com. You can also experience one of the live demonstrations by visiting the FTTx demonstration area in Hall 7.
Last year’s ECOC attracted nearly 6,000 visitors - an increase of 20% on 2006 - and sold out for the first time since the market crash. Now the stage is set for ECOC 2008 to surpass last year’s achievement. For more information about the exhibition please visit
