- Microsoft Recognises Importance of IDBS Implementation -
8 October 2009: Corporate Project Solutions, a leading provider of Microsoft SharePoint and Project Management solutions, has won the Project and SharePoint Better Together award at the Microsoft Project Conference 2009 Awards.
The award win is a result of Corporate Project Solution’s extensive work with IDBS, a Research Data Management and advanced software solutions organisation. Corporate Project Solutions underwent an implementation project with IDBS with the objectives of creating a manageable and user friendly intranet, and to create a single portal which pulls together customer data from multiple systems.
CPS’ implementation is ongoing, says IDBS project manager David Longman: “I don’t think we’ll ever end as we are constantly finding ways to bring wider business benefit with additional functionality. So far this project has been running for around six months from the initial scoping phase with CPS. We have now successfully rolled out to the entire organisation.”
Since the implementation, IDBS teams can now access their data internationally with great ease. With the newly integrated internal systems, employees can quickly see what data is available, as well as now being searchable, saving valuable time.
By drafting and submitting a case study, Corporate Project Solutions was able to demonstrate to judges at the Microsoft Project Conference 2009 Awards Program how streamlining information and resources with the integration of MOSS and Microsoft EPM has enabled IDBS to make vital data available in a consolidated, easy-to-use format that has been adopted internationally by the whole organisation.
Ivan Lloyd, Director, at Corporate Project Solutions, comments: “I am delighted that CPS has won the second runner up award in the Project and SharePoint Better Together category at the Microsoft Project Conference 2009. We feel that, as well as being a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner; this award has recognised and rewarded all of our extensive efforts and hard work.”
