Learning, performance and talent management software provider Cornerstone OnDemand (stand no. 68) announced today that the company’s EMEA General Manager, Vincent Belliveau, will present at this week’s Learning Technologies 2011 conference (26-27 January) at Olympia 2, London. Belliveau’s presentation, entitled “Key trends in driving learning and talent management” will spotlight developments in enterprise social networking and collaboration, succession management, learning and development, and more that will help drive business performance in 2011. The session is part of the Learning and Skills 2011 exhibition and is scheduled for Wednesday, 26 January at 12 p.m. in Theatre 6.
“In the coming year, businesses will continue to be challenged with how to effectively harness and cultivate talented workers in the face of reduced budgets and resources,” said Belliveau. “Having a learning and talent management strategy is not in itself a guarantee of success. It is essential to work with senior executives and line managers to identify the critical roles and competencies across all employees, and then devise talent and L&D strategies that ensure the right employees are in the right roles with the right skills to execute the business strategy.”
In addition to Belliveau’s presentation, two of Cornerstone’s premier clients will share insight into their various people management and development strategies as part of Learning Technologies’ conference tracks and seminars. Sessions include:
“Creating a successful global learning environment,” presented by Justin Dunn, Head of Learning for RSA Group. In the session, Dunn will share background on the company’s technology investment to support RSA’s blended learning and compliance initiatives for 24,000 employees across 32 countries – including building a business case for learning management technology, choosing the right vendor partner, the global implementation process and more. (Thursday, 27 January, 11:30 a.m., Track 3, Session 4)
“Igniting learning, performance and talent at Virgin Media,” presented by James Iles, Head of Employee Learning for Virgin Media. The session will explore how Virgin Media is using Cornerstone’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution to support the company’s employee development strategy, increase employee engagement, create cost savings and align with business objectives. (Thursday, 27 January, 12:30 p.m., Theatre 3)
