Cornerstone VP Jason Corsello to moderate panel discussion featuring Cornerstone clients Barclays, Virgin Media and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

LONDON, 31 October 2011 – Learning and talent management software provider Cornerstone OnDemand (NASDAQ: CSOD) today announced that Jason Corsello, Cornerstone’s vice president of corporate development and strategy, will lead a panel discussion examining talent management technology challenges and opportunities at this week’s HR Tech Europe 2011 conference, 2-3 November in Amsterdam. The session, “Using Technology to Foster an Empowered Workforce,” is scheduled for 10:05 – 11:00 a.m. CET on day two of the conference.

Panellists participating in the session include executives representing premier Cornerstone clients such as Barclays, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and Virgin Media, which uses Cornerstone’s solutions for learning management, performance management, succession planning and enterprise social networking.

“Integrating social networking functionality into our learning and talent system allows us to better leverage the inherent creativity and expertise of our staff and capture valuable organisational knowledge,” said James Iles, head of employee learning for Virgin Media and one of the featured session panellists. “Empowering our employees to create and share their own content is an acknowledgement of the fact that every person makes a vital contribution to the success of the business.  And when integrated with learning and development initiatives, it helps employees to have an even greater degree of power over their own personal learning experience.”

Corsello also will join other industry leaders from a number of Europe’s leading businesses for a panel discussion titled, “Hard Talk: Hard-Hitting Industry Panel.” In the session, Corsello and other executives will share their views on talent management technology trends and best practices. The session is scheduled for 2:15 – 3:15 p.m. CET on day one of the conference. 

“Social technologies, mobile applications and workforce analytics are big technology trends in talent management, and cloud solutions are the enablement component that links them all together,” said Corsello. “There are many different views of what cloud and SaaS solutions are, but there is only one true flavour, and that is pure, multitenant SaaS. You need to have one platform and one version to build out these extended capabilities in the right way and to ensure that your software solution can evolve with you as business needs change.”

During the HR Tech Europe event, Cornerstone (booth no. 4) will showcase its organically developed, comprehensive talent management software-as-a-service (SaaS) suite, which includes:

- Cornerstone Performance Cloud, with solutions for goal alignment, performance reviews, competency assessments, compensation management, development planning, succession planning, talent pooling and career management.

- Cornerstone Learning Cloud, with solutions for e-learning, instructor-led training administration, virtual classrooms, learning content management, enterprise social networking and compliance management.

- Cornerstone Extended Enterprise Cloud, including training, certification and collaboration functionality for enabling and engaging extended networks of customers, partners, contractors and association members. 

- Cornerstone Recruiting Cloud, designed to include solutions for sourcing, recruiting, hiring and onboarding new employees. The anticipated general availability of the Recruiting Cloud is early 2012.

The inaugural HR Tech Europe 2011 is billed as one of the best sources of intelligent information on HR technology, workforce solutions and collaborative tools being used by enterprises across Europe. The conference will feature vendor exhibits with hands-on product demos, as well as an exclusive line up of speakers to discuss the innovations in talent management software and applications that will create the next wave of change in the industry.
