London, 9 September 2010 – ControlCircle, the leading datacentre and managed services provider, today announced the company has achieved the ISO/IEC 27001:20005 certification for information management and physical security at its UK operations centres. The internationally-recognised standard provides assurance that ControlCircle maintains the highest levels of security for its clients’ information assets. The award is part of an ongoing process to achieve ISO 27001 accreditation at all ControlCircle sites as the firm expands its global footprint deeper into Europe, North America and in the Asia Pacific.

ISO/IEC 27001:20005 is the only auditable international standard which defines the requirements for an information security management system. The standard is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls. This accreditation acknowledges that ControlCircle adopts a process approach for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving an information security management system. The certification covers physical infrastructure, site security and access management, communications and operations, legal compliance criteria, back-up and disaster recovery systems.
