Computop, a leading payment service provider (PSP), is strengthening its global position through an extended partnership with eShopWorld, a leading provider of cross border e-commerce software, and services, and Billpay, leading providers for online payment methods dedicated to key European markets. The strategic alliance aims to bring customers an integrated ecommerce, logistics and secure payment platform to support growth in international markets.
The partnership follows Computop’s recent introduction of Paygate 6.0, the latest version of the company’s multi-channel global payment platform which is simplifying and streamlining how merchants can conduct business both domestically and internationally, and is fully SEPA enabled in preparation for the pan-European payment harmonization initiative later this year. eShopWorld has enabled a key feature of Paygate, making a duty and tax calculation available to Computop customers, and enhancing its global logistics across its customer base.
Stephen Berry, country manager for Computop UK commented, “2014 is set to bring major international retailer expansion as brands seek to maximise opportunities in key resurgent markets, growing consumer demand for UK brands and greater awareness of the “unknown”. By simplifying the complexities of operating in the international market with our partners, we can offer merchants a single platform to deliver a seamless, enhanced customer experience.”
Martin Tully, Chief Operations Officer for eShopWorld said, “We share Computop’s total commitment to helping retailers manage the complexity of localising international customer online sales and delivering a superb shopping experience. We’ve had proven success with multiple international brands and we’re looking forward to building on this.”
Computop, eShopWorld and Billpay will be showcasing the service on Stand B50 at Internet Retailing Expo on the 26th and 27th March. A co-hosted workshop will explore ‘Simplifying the Challenges of International e- commerce’. P2PE, operating in China and how Computop’s integrated Paygate 6.0 platform can support this will be a key focus.
Maximillian von Eisner, Chief Sales Officer at Billpay adds, “Partnerships like these are about putting the customer at the centre of an improved payment solution. We’ve been working with Computop to do just that in a number of key European markets, enabling retailers like Joules to respond to specific local preferences in a safe, easy and convenient way.”
