Communicate magazine takes the reins of CommsChat
« Posted: March 07, 2011, 10:24:37 PM »

LONDON, 7 MARCH - #CommsChat, the weekly live twitter chat for comms professionals, has announced today that it is to be run by Cravenhill Publishing, publishers of Communicate magazine, the UK's leading monthly magazine for corporate communications professionals.

Launched in May 2010, #CommsChat has grown to become Europe's leading PR & social media chat forum, and the seventh-largest globally.

Its original aim had been to create an engaged community of communication and PR professionals, but the success of #CommChat had taken creators Adam Vincenzini and Emily Cagle by surprise. Both Cagle and Vincenzini are professional communicators, and running such a fast-growing forum became hard to reconcile with their full time jobs.

Communicate magazine will run #CommsChat from 14 March and announce topics and speakers over the next few weeks.

Adam Vincenzini said: "#CommsChat will benefit greatly from the leadership and influence of Communicate magazine - our passionate and loyal community is in very good hands."

Communicate magazine's publisher, Andrew Thomas, said: "PR and social media professionals are incredibly grateful to Adam and Emily for what they've created. At Communicate, we're well aware of how much hard work goes into any media enterprise and that they have achieved so much in their spare time is amazing. Ultimately, their biggest achievement has been to establish a trusted forum and a unique sounding board for our industry. We are honoured to be taking over #CommsChat, and hope that we are able to continue the work that Adam and Emily have done."
