Computer Weekly hails world’s first global cloud based PCI DSS compliant platform for telephone based payment processing
London, UK – May 9, 2014: Today Cognia, the leader in cloud communications intelligence solutions (
www.cognia.com), announced it had been chosen as the winner of the Cloud Innovation award in the Computer Weekly European User Awards for Security 2014, which recognises innovation in information security and IT risk management.
A panel of independent judges selected the Cognia platform for its innovations in cloud application development that has extended its Cognia Cloud service offering to include secure telephone-based payment processing. In so doing, Cognia became the world’s first provider to achieve PCI DSS Level-1 compliance on a global cloud platform. The Cognia platform enables contact centres to record, analyse and monitor customer interactions while protecting their customers’ sensitive personal data such as payment card information.
Curtis Nash, Cognia’s CEO said: “We are delighted to receive this award in recognition of the innovation Cognia has applied to cloud computing and secure telephone-based payment processing. Cognia has not only transformed the cost and ease of monitoring communications for risk, compliance and workforce productivity improvement, but can now offer contact centres of any size in any location, a way of securely handling card payments over telephony at a fraction of the cost of alternative approaches.”
Awards judge Clive Longbottom, founder of industry analysts Quocirca, said: “Cognia is head and shoulders above the rest. It shows a real thought process behind how it looked at what it had created and how it believed cloud could add significant value if it could get cloud right.”
Nash continued, “Solutions such as cloud based recording, interactive analysis and payment processing for businesses of all sizes are now proven within our cloud model. That model delivers all the control and security of on-premise solutions, but we slash the cost of ownership and cost of compliance by up to 90% and provide operational flexibility never before possible.”
All the winners will soon be profiled in full case studies in Computer Weekly.
